I flew right away to the best in Chicago and they are who told me what happened with Mitias' work, and immediately they repaired my left (good) knee by giving me a harvested Meniscus transplant; my size, an Achilles' tendon for my ACL and a new Lateral Ligament allograft in June '17. It feels great. They are giving me a full knee replacement on the first week of Nov. on my right knee, that Mitias screwed up on. So, be careful not to lose $10,000 for nothing plus have an extra unnecessary painful surgery that may not work. Make these guys show you XRAYs, educate you more on why they're doing what they're doing, and probably get a second opinion.
Everyone that I have dealt with has been incredible. Brad Page, Alex, and especially Dr Mitias. I couldn't ask for better staff to help me. I would recommend this great group off folks to any and everyone.
If you have had multiple knee repairs and you know that you need a replacement, go to Rowland Robertson in Tupelo. I knew that I needed a replacement, asked these guys for one but they didn't think I needed one. Brad Robbins (PA) never took what I'd told him into account. Mitas saw me once, after Robbins and he said he agreed. He put an ACL cadaver allograft in my right knee and 5 months later when I had an accident, both ACL's tore again because he did not connect the blood supply to the allograft so the tissue was dead. The left knee had a long run and I was expecting it to tear after 15 years ... But for me to pay and take the time to go to NA from Oxford and not have ANY type of compensation, call, knowledge of whys or why nots or why he neglected to take more time and listen, I'll never know.
The best doctors and staff in the world. They are always nice, gentle with my mother and they do everything they can to help.
My son had a wreck November 4 2015. It crushed his right ankle. Dr Mitias and his group fixed him up with a rod and screws. He had to stay off it for 16 weeks...which I'm impressed that he followed orders. Once he started walking on it..it hurt at first..but he is doing so good and says he has no pain in it. We love how well they took care of him and such a very friendly staff!
The few times I have had to use Mitias Orthopaedics have been great. The staff are super nice and considerate and Dr. Mitias and the other physicians always took the time to talk with me and answer my questions.
